Dream Weddings in Bali

To give you an idea of the sort of costs you'd be looking at for your dream wedding in Bali, we've provided a range of guide prices, all of which are quoted in US Dollars. This is the currency primarily used in Bali.

The total cost will always depend on the selected venue, the time of year, the number of wedding guests, the type of venue you choose (whether it be a resort hotel, wedding chapel, private villa or an event venue like a restaurant), the menu you want served, beverage arrangements, type of entertainment, sound and lighting equipment etc.

Ceremony Prices

Non-legal commitment, vow renewal and blessing ceremonies range from $450.00 (basic vow renewal) to $750.00 (Balinese blessing ceremony).

Full legal wedding ceremonies range from $800.00 (Protestant) to $1,325.00 (Catholic). 

Hotel Weddings

Wedding Packages: Wedding Packages include a range of decorations and are generally compulsory at most resort hotels in Bali. Prices vary from venue to venue, based on inclusions. Wedding package prices range from $750.00 to $6,000.00 or more.

Bouquets & Boutonnieres: Many wedding packages will include a bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere. Additional bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnieres, wrist and head corsages range in price from $10.00 per additional boutonniere to $50.00 upwards for additional bouquets, depending on whether the flowers are locally grown or imported varieties.

Hair & Make-Up: Professional hair & make-up for the bride and bridesmaids will cost from $180.00 per person with no touch-up. A travel surcharge could be applied for venues outside south Bali.

Photography: Packages range from $250.00 to $2,000.00, depending on the duration of the photo package and whether a local or expat photographer is used.

Food & Beverages: Food and beverage prices vary between venues but a one-hour canapé service will cost from $15.00++ per guest, a three-course set menu will cost from $30.00++ per guest and a three-hour beverage package including local beer, house wines and soft drinks will cost from $65.00++ per guest. Bar tab arrangements can also be arranged.

Wedding Cake: Prices start from $150.00 including delivery in south Bali. A wedding cake for 50 guests will cost from $200.00.

Entertainment: A local DJ will cost from $750.00 including equipment and a sound system. Live bands start from $1,000.00. A traditional Balinese dance performance will cost from $350.00.

Wedding Planning & Coordination Services: Our full service professional services in Bali and Australia are compulsory for resort hotel weddings, with fees starting from $350.00. 

Guide Prices - Hotel Weddings

Details and guide prices for a selection of non-legal commitment or vow renewal ceremony and reception packages at a range of excellent beach-front resort hotels in popular areas of Bali have been provided below.

Optional extras include discounted accommodation, additional bouquets & boutonniere, hairdressing & make-up, still and video photography, ceremony music (a string quartet or Rindik musicians), post ceremony cocktails and canapes, the wedding cake, full flow beverage packages or bar tan set-up, a DJ and Balinese (or Western) entertainment. We can also arrange a dove release, flying lanterns, pyrotechnics and a firework display, although this could be subject to police permits and other local approvals.

Private Villa Weddings

Private villa weddings have become a particularly attractive option of late, with venues ranging from the simple to the simply magnificent! Apart from offering guaranteed privacy and in-villa accommodation for up to 24 guests (depending on the villa), the drinks packages offered by our private caterers are far cheaper than those offered by most resort hotels, and you also have the option of bringing your own alcohol into the venue without charge, as long as a soft drinks package is purchased. Drinks are always a major expenditure item for weddings in Bali.

It's also worth noting that noise curfews at private villas are usually later than those at resort hotels, with some private villas offering noise curfew extensions to 2.00 am or later. Noise curfew for outside events at resort hotels typically vary between 10.00 pm and 11.00 pm.

Function Fees: Villa Function Fees are often the equivalent to one-nights seasonal accommodation in the entire villa complex. The Function Fee gives you the right to hold a function within their grounds. Some villas will charge a flat Function Fee, ranging from $750++ to US$4,500.00++, depending on the selected property.

Banjar Fees: Banjar Fees (or local council fees) ensure that there is no disruption to events by letting the local community know that your wedding will be taking place. They will also ensure that the noise curfew applicable in the area where your villa is located is adhered to. All Banjar communications are made by the villa management and Dream Weddings In Bali, on your behalf. Banjar Fees vary between US$200.00 and $500.00, depending on the villa selected.

Minimum Nights Accommodation: Most private villas in Bali will have a minimum stay requirement, the length of which depends on the season. Typically, you'd be looking at 2-3 nights during low season, and up to 7 nights during peak season.

Venue Decorations: We offer ceremony venue decoration packages including such items as pergolas, flower arches, Balinese or Western decorations, flower arrangements, seating and confetti. Décor packages start from around $550.00.

Sound Packages: Sound packages for the entire venue including the ceremony, cocktail and reception areas, including cordless microphones for ceremony and speeches etc. will cost around $500.00.

Lighting Packages: Lighting packages for the entire venue including such items as dance floor lighting, fairy lights and up-lighting in the trees, and standing candles will cost around $400.00.

Remote Power: It is compulsory to provide a remote power supply for private villa weddings, which will cost around $500.00.

Catering Tents: Villa management will sometimes allow their kitchen to be used by the private caterers but in most cases a catering tent will need to be provided. A 5m x 5m tent costs around $100.00.

Food & Beverages: Food & beverages for villa weddings are provided by one of our excellent private catering companies. The average price for a three-course set menu will be around $44.00++ per guest, and an International Buffet can be provided for around $56.00++ per guest. A 6 hour free flow drinks package with local beer, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks and juices (excluding wine) will cost around $52.00++ per guest. Your own wine can be brought into the venue without corkage, as long as this package is purchased.

Alcoholic drinks are generally the most expensive part of any wedding in Bali whether in a resort hotel or private villa but the drinks packages provided by our private caterers offer excellent value compared to most hotels, resorts and restaurants in Bali.

Villa Wedding Planning & Coordination Services: Our full service professional services in Bali and Australia are compulsory for private villa weddings and are based on guest numbers, with fees starting from $1,500.00.

Guide Prices - Private Villa Weddings

Irrespective of your final choice of villa for the wedding, it's important to note that the cost of an actual villa wedding will usually remain the same, except in cases of difficult access to villas in remote locations. It's only the accommodation charges, function and banjar fees charged by villas that vary between properties.

 - Two bridesmaids bouquets and matching groomsmen's boutonniere,
 - Hair & make-up for the bride,
 - Hair & make-up for two bridesmaids,
 - A five-hour continuous professional photography package,
 - A privately catered set or buffet wedding dinner menu,
 - An up to 8-hr alcoholic drinks package including cocktails, spirits, beer and soft drinks (excluding wine). You can bring in your own wine at no additional charge
 - Cleaning fees,
 - Sound and lighting packages including dancing area lighting, overhead fairy lighting and candles,
 - A 40-60 kVa remote power supply,
 - The presence of an experienced Event Coordinator and support crew to manage the event,
 - Our wedding planning and co-ordination services in Australia and Bali. 

Optional Extras

Optional extras include flowers, additional hairdressing & make-up, still and video photography, ceremony music (a string quartet or Rindik musicians), post ceremony cocktails and canapes, the wedding cake, full flow beverage packages, a DJ and Balinese or Western entertainment. We can arrange for a dove release and a firework display can be arranged, although this would be subject to certain a police permit and local approvals.

Optional extras include accommodation, additional bouquets and boutonniere, hairdressing and make-up, additional photography, videography and a reception on the beach.
